In 2022, Tim and Alex were honored as Nutrien Sustainable Success Champions, an award recognizing farmers who are implementing innovative and responsible sustainability practices in their operations. Dusty Creek Land & Cattle was selected as one of just ten farms across North America recognized during the program’s inaugural year. The award highlighted the farm’s ongoing efforts to improve soil health, nutrient management, and environmental stewardship while maintaining a productive and efficient operation.
As part of the recognition, Alex traveled to Canada to participate in Nutrien’s Sustainable Summit, where he spoke on a panel about Dusty Creek’s practices and our involvement in several sustainability initiatives, including participation in early beta programs focused on carbon intensity and Nutrien’s Sustainable Nitrogen Outcomes program. The experience provided an opportunity to share real-world insights from the farm and contribute to conversations shaping the future of sustainable agriculture.
